A property purchase agreement bearing the name of Shabbir Raidhan has emerged, indicating an intended transaction involving a residential property in London valued at £850,000.
The document, dated 10 August 2026, identifies Shabbir Raidhan as the purchaser of a property listed as 42 Gardens, London, with a stated postcode of SW1X 8XX.

According to the agreement, the proposed purchase price was £850,000, with a deposit of £85,000 and an outstanding balance of £765,000. The document further lists 30 September 2026 as the proposed completion date.
The agreement bears a signature attributed to Raidhan.
The emergence of this new development comes against the background of previous investigations and reports by Malawi Cables concerning large-scale foreign exchange externalisation and money laundering involving Raidhan and his family.
Shabbir Raidhan and Amin Raidhan owned a small florist business, La Fleur, in Area 6, which was being used as a front for money laundering.
Some of their accounts linked to the suspected illegal trade scheme were 1010007387 and 1010007457 both held at National Bank .
They had another account with Standard Bank number 9100003769086 which is tied to their property valued at MK 1 billion according the records we have seen .
In May 2026, Malawi Cables reported that the Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) and Malawi Police had arrested and later released Raidhan in connection with suspected illegal foreign exchange trading and money laundering.
The earlier Cables report that transactions under investigation were estimated at approximately MK5 billion per week and that a case had been filed before the Financial Crimes Division.
Malawi Cables further reported in July that Raidhan, together with his wife Amina Raidhan and their daughter, had left Malawi for Dubai amid unresolved allegations connected to the money-laundering matter.
Despite all the evidence , security agencies allowed Raidhan to flee the country not thinking of the damage that his illegal forex trading and externalization he was into affected the Malawi economy and Malawians who are paying high prices of goods and services .
