On 10 June 2024 at approximately 10:30 a.m., former President Lazarus Chakwera, former Army Commander Paul Valentino Phiri, former National Intelligence Service Director Dokani Ngwira, and former Inspector General of Police Merlyne Yolamu knew that the aircraft carrying Vice President Saulos Chilima and the other eight passengers had crashed.
Any suggestion that they believed the aircraft was merely missing or had landed elsewhere is, false.
Cables challenge that because we know exactly who spoke to who and at what time .
We posted on this page within five minutes of the crash despite the sensitivity of the matter because we knew the authorities did no want Malawians to know of the crash .
We became aware of the incident through communications that were taking place at that time, we picked the crash at a high command level and we broke it .
