Cables can confidently reveal that the Malawi Police have recovered 3 kilograms and 876 grams of gold from Mr. Aquil (Akil) Ansari, the father of murder suspect Noor Ansari, who is currently on remand over the murder of his in-law, Asif Khan.
According to information available to Cables, the recovery of the gold has not been made public.
We have information that there are efforts to keep the gold matter out of the case, to prevent the Sky Electronics bothers Mustafa and Sadiq Kader who are the owners of the gold from being linked to the case .
The matter is being kept secret by the Malawi Police, and Cables have gathered what it describes as new developments that have not been disclosed to the public.
So far, we are monitoring the owners of vehicles ZA 2568 and LA 78692, who are working closely with Mr. Makolija, the SCIO for Limbe, in attempts to delink some suspects from the matter and influence the investigation.
Four individuals ; Aquil Ansari, Furkaan Ansari, Mudassir Ansari, and Muhammad Khalid who took part in washing Asif Khan’s body and did not report visible marks of torture to the police or Limbe Muslim Jamar remain free despite tangible evidence that connects them to the murder.
On 21 July, 2026, cables can confidently reveal that murder suspect Ghulam mustafa Noor Ansari, his father Mr. Aquil and bother Mudassir
Ansari were called to Limbe police for statements.
On 22 July 2026, Mr. Makolija and his team searched the former residence of Mustafa and Sadiq Kader, behind Salvage 2000 (Pa Yanakis), looking for CCTV cameras and hard drives.
According to information received by Cables, later that same day he met the owners of vehicles ZA 2568 and LA 78692 and assured them that the case would become “water under the bridge” while sharing inside information about the investigation.
Cables have also received information that Mr . Makolija has been communicating with Sadiq and Mustafa Kader, who are suspects and still at large on how the case investigation is going.
From Sunday until now, no post-mortem report has been made public, and there has been no further official communication providing updates on the matter although a lot of things have happened for the past days .
Cables will continue to follow the case and report on any verified developments.
