British national Nusrat Osman who was abducted at Mount Pleasant last Friday has been found according to her brother Shobi Jiwa.
Jiwa said that Osman is back home and she was found safe but did not disclose more details of where she was found.
He said that Deputy Inspector General of Police Noel Kaira was shot during the operation to find Osman but survived and was out of danger.
Six day ago Police reported that Osman, 47, was abducted at Mount Pleasant in Blantyre and Police believed four men using a grey Nissan Dualis registration number CA 6956 were involved in the incident.
Malawi Police Service has offered K30 million reward for credible information leading to rescue of Osman and arrest, prosecution and conviction of people involved in her abduction.
More details about whereabouts Osman was found and Noel Kaira was shot are yet to be told as Malawi Police Service has not yet commented on the matter.
