Mangochi Districts Hospital Called For More Awareness Campaings As Children With Cerebral Palsy Still Faces Rejections In Some Communities

Mangochi District Hospital Rehabilitation Technician Alpheus Njewa said children with cerebral palsy (CP) are still facing rejection in some communities hence need fore more awareness campaigns.

Njewa made the remarks today in Mangochi district at Makawa Primary School where Patsogolo CP Foundation organised cerebral palsy awareness.

He said that there are still cases where men are abandoning children with CP problems, leaving the whole responsibility of looking after the child in hands of women.

Njewa then called on partners and organisations to emphasise on more awareness campaigns for early identification and support towards children with cerebral palsy.

Patsogolo CP Foundation said it will continue rolling out similar campaigns to ensure children with cerebral palsy are give equal opportunities to grow into responsible citizens.
