The Board of Trustees of the Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) has announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Limbani Taulo as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 June 2026.
In a statement released by the organization, the Board expressed confidence in Mr. Taulo’s ability to lead SFFRFM into a new era of growth and service delivery. His appointment comes as the institution continues to strengthen its role in supporting smallholder farmers through improved access to agricultural inputs and financing solutions.
Mr. Taulo brings extensive senior leadership experience to the position, having served in strategic and executive roles across both the public and private sectors.
Notably, he previously served as Director General of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA), where he played a key role in advancing public procurement reforms, strengthening institutional governance, and promoting transparency and accountability in public sector operations.
His professional credentials include a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the University of Bolton, a Master of Science in Oil and Gas with Energy Management from the University of East London, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Investment Analysis from Amity University.
The Board believes that Mr. Taulo’s broad experience in leadership, procurement, supply chain management, and financial administration positions him well to drive SFFRFM’s strategic objectives and enhance its contribution to Malawi’s agricultural development.
Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chairperson Professor Moses Kwapata congratulated Mr. Taulo on his appointment and expressed optimism about the institution’s future under his stewardship.
“The Board wishes Mr. Taulo every success as he assumes this important responsibility. We are confident that his leadership will help advance SFFRFM’s mission and deliver lasting value to Malawi’s smallholder farming community,” the statement said.
Mr. Taulo’s appointment is expected to bolster SFFRFM’s efforts to improve agricultural productivity, strengthen farmer support systems, and contribute to national food security and economic growth.
