Malawi Electoral Commission has appointed Mr Andrew Kamkwalala as it’s Acting Chief Elections Officer with immediate effects.
According to a notice signed by Malawi Electoral Commission Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja appointment of Kamkwalala comes following the resignation of Andrew Mpesi who served as Commission’s Chief Elections Officer from 22 August 2022 to 21 August 2026.
Kamkwalala who joined the Commission in 2022 is serving as it’s Deputy Chief Elections Officer (Finance and Administration) the position he held since that time.
