Renowned media expert and FD Media consultancy partner Deguzman Kaminjoro, also known as Adzigude, has criticized the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), stating that the current crisis in the country is of their own making.
In a post on his Facebook page, Kaminjoro said:
“You from the Congress Party should remember that when you came into government, the DPP left you in power without disrupting or interfering with you, and without unnecessary confrontation or chaos. Parliamentary debates were civil and constructive. You were the ones who made things difficult yourselves.
It only became unbearable when issues such as foreign exchange shortages, fuel scarcity, and rising commodity prices began affecting Malawians. At that point, the DPP, the church, and ordinary citizens, like any concerned Malawians, voiced their protests.
Then you talk about a ‘leadership crisis.’ Which crisis exactly? You hold daily meetings—what exactly are you discussing there? Some of you are busy traveling for tobacco-related activities in Chinkhoma and elsewhere.
You are already panicking, but calm down. Malawians are not foolish. Right now, the only crisis we recognize is the one created by you yourselves.”
