
Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (Mera) has adjusted downwards the prices of diesel and Kerosene by 7.02 percent and 8 percent respectively.
In a statement signed by Mera board chairperson Lucas Kondowe says the diesel price has been reduced from K6 306 per litre to K5 863 litre while Kerosene price has gone down to K4 389 per litre from K4 771 per litre.
The authority has however maintained the cost of petrol at K5 619 per litre.
According to the statement these prices are effective from today 1st August 2026.
