Malawi President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is expected to return home today following a private visit to South Africa.
President Mutharika left Malawi on 5 August 2026 for the private visit and has been away from the country for over a week.
Sources indicate that the President is expected to arrive back in Malawi today, although further details regarding his arrival programme have not yet been made public.
His return comes as government continues with its official engagements.
