A form student identified as Phildecia Kateza who was sitting for the ongoing Malawi School Certificate of Education examinations has died after hanging herself in a tree near to the girls hostels at Salima Secondary School.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred on Saturday when her fellow students found her body hanging in a tree near the hostels.
As of now there are no clear reasons behind the death but some says she committed suicide after realising that she wrote wrong answers to some of the examination papers like English and Mathematics.
Kateza comes from Senga-Bay in Salima district
Police are yet to comment on the matter as investigations continues.
