The Ministry Education Science and Technology has announced that 2026/2027 Academic year for Primary School, Secondary School and Teachers Training Colleges will run from 14 September 2026 to 16 July 2027.
In a letter released by the Ministry the first term will have 14 weeks from 14 September to 18 December 2026 and will have 2 weeks holiday.
The second term will open on 4 January 2027 and closes on 25 March 2027 and will have12 learning weeks followed by 2 weeks holiday.
The third term will open on the 12th April and will close on 16 July after 14 weeks of learning. According to the letter 2026/2027 academic year will have 40 learning weeks.
