Malawi Women’s National Football Team ‘ The Scorchers’ striker Temwa Chawinga has been nominated for the 2026 Fifa Ballon d’ Or award.
Temwa Chawinga and Barbara Banda from Zambia are the only female African players nominated for the award.
Both Temwa and Barbara plays in United States of America and they had impressive perfomance for their clubs. Temwa retained the golden boot award with 15 goals.
