The First Vice President, Dr. Jane Mayemu Ansah SC JA (Rtd), on Christmas Day visited Nkhoma Hospital, where she spent time cheering patients and medical staff as part of the festive celebrations.
During the visit, Dr. Ansah named the first baby born at the hospital on Christmas Day “Jane”, after herself. The baby girl was originally named Leviness Sikonda by her mother, Aida Lemoniya.
The gesture was received with joy at the hospital, as staff and patients joined in celebrating the special moment marking the birth of the Christmas baby.
Dr. Ansah’s visit formed part of activities aimed at sharing goodwill and encouragement with patients receiving care during the festive season. She commended health workers at Nkhoma Hospital for their dedication and service, particularly during public holidays.
