
Kanengo Police have arrested two men in connection to the Killing of a woman who had nine months pregnant and seriously injured her husband and series of armed robberies in Area 25 in Lilongwe.
Police Public Relations Officer for Kanengo Police Macfarlen Mseteka has identified the suspects as 52 years-old Pofera Boma who is suspected to be among the five people who killed Ezilina Masamba and injured her husband William Nepiyala.
Mseteka said Boma was arrested on 6 September 2026 following investigations launched after the was reported on 3 September 2026.
Police are still hunting the remaining four suspects and firearms used during the robbery.
The other man arrested is Gift Fole, Kabaza operator in suspicion that he was being used by criminals to move stolen properties from the robbery scenes around Area 25.
He said that Fole admitted that he was ferrying suspects and he led detectives to Chinsapo 2 where officers recovered 43 coils, a wedding machine, 9 car batteries and 24 vehicle mirrors believed to have been stolen from homes in the area.
