Cables can confidently reveal that the man whose identity has not yet been officially disclosed by the Malawi Police in connection with the death of Indian national Asif Khan is Nuir Asalhi.
Nuir Asalhi was working as a warehouse manager at Sky Electronics at the time of his arrest.
According to sources, Malawi Police have not publicly identified either the electronics shop where Asif Khan worked or the identity of the suspect in custody.
Cables has learned from its network that Asif Khan worked at Sky Electronics and that Nuir Asalhi also worked at the same company as the Warehouse Manager .
It’s suspected that Asalhi may have acted on behalf of the owner of Sky Electronics, who is believed to be the owner of the allegedly stolen 5 kg of gold.
Cables has also established that a sheikh who prepares bodies for burial in the area has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
When pressed to reveal the others who were involved to conceal evidence in the gruesome murder of Asif Khan , the sheik has denied involvement of others saying he acted alone in clean the body of Asif waiting for burial .
According to sources, the investigation is being handled by police officer Pangeti.
Asif Khan was allegedly held against his will in Mudi for two weeks, during which he was tortured and harassed to reveal the whereabouts of the 5 kg of gold, on suspicion that he had stolen it until his death on July 6, 2026.
Cables can also reveal that a woman who was in an extra marital affair with Asif was also a victim of the torture.
After torturing Asif Khan to death , cables have established that the team lead by Nuir Asalhi took Asaf Khan to his house and planned to give an account that Asaf Khan had collapsed of Blood pressure and died on the sport as a way to cover up his murder .
As of this publication, Malawi police are hidding the identity of Nuir Asalhi and the electronic shop Asaf Khan was working in a move to conceal the identity of the suspects for reasons well known to Malawi Malawi .
