Nkoloma is a telecommunications engineer. He holds an MSc in Wireless Communication from University of Sheffield (UK), and a Master of Technology in Advanced Information Technology (Telecommunications & Networking) from International Institute of Information Technology, Pune (India).
He also earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the former Malawi Polytechnic (now part of Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences — MUBAS).
He works as a lecturer in Telecommunications / Electrical Engineering at MUBAS.
He is the Founder & CEO of iMoSyS, a Malawian tech company focused on deploying Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions. Among iMoSyS’s flagship work is a “smart water management system” — used by water utilities to remotely monitor water infrastructure (e.g. tank levels, flow, leak detection) in real time.
Under iMoSyS, he has also been involved in public-health-oriented ICT projects. For example: an e-Health initiative with the Ministry of Health designed to track the flow of tuberculosis (TB) samples from community level to treatment facilities — improving traceability and management of cases.
His innovation work has attracted recognition: iMoSyS has been acknowledged for “greatest social impact” by international bodies.
In 2022, he was nominated as “Economic Infrastructure Champion” under the country’s Malawi Vision 2063 framework — a pro bono role reflecting his standing in ICT, infrastructure, and innovation.
