Malawi President Arthur Peter Mutharika has said that he is pleased to see Malawians able to afford adequate food, with many now managing to have three meals a day.
Speaking at Phalula on his way to Lilongwe, the President urged citizens to remain hardworking and committed to improving the country’s economy.
President Mutharika also expressed satisfaction with the prevailing peace in the country, noting a significant improvement compared to the past when others promoted violence.
On the political front , Mutharika has commended the party’s Eastern Region Vice President, Bright Msaka, for his efforts in supporting aspiring candidates seeking to represent the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
James Makhumula, who is contesting as a parliamentary candidate for the DPP in Balaka Mulunguzi, was officially introduced to the President and the people gathered at the event.
