Cables can confidently reveal that former President Lazarus Chakwera is among the key individuals expected to testify before the Parliamentary Adhoc Committee investigating the plane crash that claimed the lives of Vice President Saulos Chilima and eight others.
The Parliamentary adhoc committee is expected to start visiting key sites and meeting different people to gather more information from today .
According to sources, the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) is aware of these developments and is allegedly attempting to create tension by suggesting that Chakwera is being targeted for arrest, as a way of diverting attention from the public inquiry.
