Malawi President His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is expected to attend private family prayers at Ndata Farm on Saturday. The farm serves as the final resting place of his beloved late brother, former Malawi President Bingu wa Mutharika.
The visit is understood to be personal and reflective, in keeping with the family’s tradition of commemorating their late relative.
As previously reported, President Mutharika is scheduled to travel from Blantyre to Lilongwe over the weekend as part of his official movements.
Highly placed cables indicate that these arrangements have been confirmed, although the prayers themselves are expected to remain private.
