Malawi Congress Party Monitor Caught With 200+ National IDs of Minors

This news outlines the arrest of Nelson Banda, a 42-year-old Malawi Congress Party (MCP) monitor from Nkhotakota, accused of possessing 200 national identity cards in Kasipa. Banda reportedly confessed that these identity cards were collected from underage registrants in the central region, and they were distributed to MCP monitors, some receiving up to 500 cards, for use in the MEC’s Smartmatic registration system. He allegedly communicated with senior MCP and MEC officials using phone number 0999041159 for data entry purposes.
