Former President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera, yesterday engaged with representatives of the Malawian community living in Ghana on the sidelines of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.
The interaction provided an opportunity for members of the Malawian community to meet and engage with Malawi’s sixth President while connecting with fellow Malawians living in the West African nation.
During the meeting, the representatives also honoured the former First Lady, Madam Monica Chakwera, with special gifts in celebration of Mother’s Day, which was being commemorated in Malawi yesterday.
The gesture was a token of appreciation and recognition for Madam Chakwera, as the Malawian community joined the nation in celebrating mothers and acknowledging their important role in families and society.
The engagement highlighted the spirit of unity and togetherness among Malawians living abroad, as well as their continued connection to their homeland.
