Cables ,
I recently came across a post on your page about a client suing National Bank of Malawi over shares allegedly cashed out without the owner’s knowledge or consent.
Interestingly, I believe I may be facing a similar situation, but I honestly don’t know where to start or who to approach for answers.
My mother worked for National Bank of Malawi in the 1990s, when I was still very young. Growing up, I heard that she had left me some money and purchased shares for me.
However, I have never been able to establish what happened to those shares or how I can trace them.
The relatives who knew about these arrangements have not provided me with sufficient information, and eventually, I gave up pursuing the matter.
At one point, I tried to follow the trail myself, but the only information I was shown concerned my mother’s pension.
Nothing was mentioned about the shares I had heard she purchased for me.
Seeing this recent post has reopened old questions and made me wonder whether there could be more to my situation than I initially thought.
I cannot make any accusations without evidence, but I believe I deserve answers about what my mother may have left for me.
I would be grateful for guidance on where to begin, which offices or institutions to contact, and what documents I may need to trace these shares.
I sincerely wish the woman and her son involved in the ongoing case all the best.
Hopefully, their pursuit of the truth will help bring clarity to similar cases and encourage others who may have unanswered questions about shares left to them by their parents to come forward.
All I want is transparency, accountability, and the truth about what may rightfully belong to me.
