
Fact 1.
Adelaide Migogo, Chair of the National Women’s Football Association was in Morocco to watch WAFCON games up to the group stages, just like all the executive members of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), that is including Chimango Munthali.
Fact 2.
FAM President Fleetwood Haiya told all his executive members that they were going to stay in Morocco up to the group stages games. All agreed. FAM Executive member and Competitions Chairperson Felistus Dossi is the leader of delegation for the Scorchers in Morocco.
Fact 3.
All national football teams including the sloppy Flames and the Scorchers are the responsibility of FAM. SULOM, just like National Women’s Football Association are responsible for the administration of national football leagues in the country.
Fact 4.
The National Women’s Football League did not secure Scorchers sponsorship from National Bank. FAM did.
Fact 5.
So, after the end of group matches, all FAM executive members left Morocco as per earlier agreement with FAM President. No one was chased. Only FAM President, leader of delegation and FAM secretariat remained in Morocco.
Fact 6.
The Scorchers qualified for Women’s World Cup when all the executive members including Adelaide already left for Malawi.
Fact 7.
Adelaide and crew go back to Malawi and social media is awash with accusations that she was ‘chased’ from Morocco. No one wrote about how the whole FAM executive was in Morocco to support the Scorchers.
Fact 8.
If this all this is false, let Adelaide stand up and refute this!
