
Number of unemployed people in South Africa have increased by 345, 000 reaching 8.5 million in the second quarter of the year between April and June 2026.
This is according to the country’s national broadcaster SABC.
The figures are rising despite the departure of foreigners from other countries following the attacks of foreigners that resulted into repatriation of other foreigners.
In Malawi more than 59,000 people have returned back.
