MCP’ Mzimba Rally Cancelled:Chimwendo Informs Party Cadres

Good evening Honourables

As agreed in the morning that I should provide feedback to this forum pertaining to our rally tomorrow ,in reference to what we all saw on social media last evening at Jenda and Katoto.

I am so sad and at the same time angry to report that the best for us is to cancel our rally at Ekwendeni to avoid being embarrassed by large turnout at DPP rally which will force people to draw comparison and thereby conclude that we have lost Northern Region.

I have been on a long call with Regional Chair for North and to be honest, the situation is not good.
I urge all of us to have a deep reflection this evening on what our party can do to win back support from The Northern Region. It seems DPP has gained more ground in the North and it’s very surprising.

So as it stands, the rally is cancelled. Sorry I missed the group call initiated in the morning. That time, I was on another call with HE. He was inquiring on the same.
