DK Ignites Controversy: UTM Heavyweights Demand Answers For Missing SKS Foundation Launch

Some big names within the ranks and files of UTM are reportedly not happy with the decision made by UTM president Dalitso Kabambe to boycott the launch of the SKC Foundation, at the BICC in Lilongwe on Wednesday night.

Cables understand that the decision to boycott the event was made by Kabambe and “his boys” alone without the blessings of the entire NEC.

“We were all surprised to learn that UTM would not attend the launch when all along the party had bought some tickets and all arrangements regarding the attendance of Kabambe as the UTM president were put in place”, said our source.

We can reveal that Kabambe, fresh from HD studios for a photoshoot, made the decision not to attend the event because all along he was made to believe he would be the guest of honour and the center of attraction.

However, everything changed after it was reported that Chakwera would attend the function. “This didn’t please Kabambe who later on made a last minute decision not to attend the function.”

According to our source some UTM big names such as Noel Masangwi and Patricia Kaliati have already reached out to Kabambe to express their disappointment with his unpopular decision.

Surprisingly, some UTM party gurus such as Khwesi Msusa, Chidanti Malunga and others, were part of the committee that organised the event.

Kabambe, was last seen shaking hands with President Chakwera while smiling on 15th January during Chilembwe day remembrance at PIM in Chiradzulu.
