One Million jobs for retired senior army , police officers , civil servants , family and friends of outgoing President Lazarus Chakwera aka Chikangawa are being created with the youths in the country remaining jobless and in abject poverty.

On Monday , Chikangawa President Lazarus Chakwera appointed General Peter Andrew Lapken Namathanga (Retired) as Malawi’s new Ambassador to Zimbabwe, replacing McLloyd Polepole who has been reassigned as a Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A communication from the office of President and Cabinet that we have seen, has requested him to appear before the Public Appointments Committee (PAC) for confirmation of his appointment, in line with section 190 of the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi.

PAC Chairperson Joyce Chitsulo has told Malawi Cables that the committee will set a date to do his confirmation hearing.
