Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 33 years old Jimmy Banda and recovered a gun and valuables in connection with robbery at Mbavi-four Ways near Airwing in the district.
According to Foster Benjamin, Central West Police Public Public Relations Officer, Banda and other suspects were armed with gun, knives and axe and they are suspected of hacking a 36 years old accountant on the arm before striking his wife on the cheek.
They stolen couple’s gun phones, three laptops and other items worth over K6.7 million.
The suspect was found with 35 rounds of ammunition, three Samsung Phones, three laptops, Bluetooth Speaker, a hair straightener and clothes.
Benjamin said Police have also recovered, six panga knives, axe, crowbar, hacksaw and pliers from the suspect.
The hunting for the remaining suspects connected with the case continues.
