Police in Chiradzulu district have confirmed the death of unidentified fuel tanker driver at Chamdimbo after the tanker caught fire in the early hours of today Saturday.
Chiradzulu Police Public Relations Officer Hubert Mwangoka told the media that, the tanker was traveling to ward Phalombe direction when the driver lost the control at sharp bend and he was trapped inside the vehicle when as it burnt.
He added that police in the district are yet to identify the owner of the tanker and the real identification of the driver as the vehicle was burnt beyond recognition
